Re-Introducing Your Neighborhood Board
March 2025

First, allow us to re-acquaint you with us as a team.  We are Peter Kauffmann on Alexander, Ali Asaad on Holmes, Wesley Ashley on Reese, and Claire Ryan on Palisade. We meet monthly to plan engaging activities for the year and discuss possible neighborhood initiatives. To that end, we are planning several events and activities this Spring for our neighborhood to connect, socialize, and effect some positive change. We will also be rolling out volunteer opportunities through our committees (Safety/Neighborhood Watch, Arts, Social Activities, and Outreach & Assistance) in the coming weeks. Contact us at eastjoffre@gmail.com if you ever need to reach out!

East Joffre Community Association Inaugural Board Elections

We're thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the growth of our neighborhood community. Our establishing committee has been hard at work, and we are happy to let you know that the official bylaws of the East Joffre Community Association have been passed and adopted. These bylaws serve as the foundation for our organization, outlining its composition, responsibilities, and the election process for the Board of Directors.

We'd like to encourage you to review the attached document to understand the bylaws and to ensure the successful and transparent operation of our community association.

**Call to Action: Cast Your Ballot**

One of the critical articles of the bylaws defines the process for electing our Board of Directors. We invite you to actively participate by reviewing the board nominees and vote between November 16th - November 30th. A link to the online ballot will be emailed to the EJCA mailing list. Please notify the Establishing Committee at eastjoffre@gmail.com if you do not receive the link via email.

Election Timeline:

  • Nominations Period: Ends November 1, 2023

  • Meet the Candidates: November 12, 2023, French Truck Coffee 395 S. Highland St. 4pm-5pm (see candidate bios)

  • Election Period: November 16, 2023 - November 30, 2023

  • Announcement of Election Results: By December 15, 2023

Participating in this process will enable us to create a Board of Directors that genuinely represents the interests and concerns of our neighborhood and creates a foundation to build on in 2024. We encourage all members to take an active role in shaping the future of our community.

Should you have any questions about the bylaws, the election process, or any other matter related to our community association, please do not hesitate to contact us at eastjoffre@gmail.com.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working together to make our neighborhood an even better place to live.
